I assembled this engine 12 years ago, and its been sittign ever since. I pulledthe pan off and made sure it still looked good inside. Thumbs up baby!

What a shock it was to me to find out that the LT1 has an additional motor mount boss cast into either side of the block. I just assumed from the get go that they used the standard 3 small block mount holes.

The motor mount problem was a major bummer for me, but in the end I decided to go with the BMR tubular cross member with SBC/BBC mounts. Expensive, but in the end I'm glad I did. It's a really nice piece.

Precision state of the art clearance adder. I bent the sheet metal under the cowl up to get the clearance I needed for the distributor and the plenum lid.
